Your responsibility

Posting a listing on this system which violates the Fair Housing Laws and Presidential Orders is something you should NOT do. In an effort to protect your legal back side (and ours), you should read the following links, which will open in a new window.

CraigsList's rules on enforcing FHA rules

Here is the bottom line. If we see an ad that we even think violates the Fair Housing laws or EEOC rules, if the Karma of the ad so much as appears to be wrong, it gets pulled. Period. No discussion, no feedback and no notice to you. So be wise, don't state "looking for a Godly Christian woman to worship in my home three times per day, and share rent." Just state the obvious necessary criteria. No one, no not even the federal or state governments, are telling you whom to hire and to whom you should lease your space. Simply, the rules exist to make the opportunity equal. Do everyone a favor and honor that.
